Do I have Schizophrenia? Printable Version

In our section entitled ’what is schizophrenia’, you will find a list of symptoms which are used by doctors to diagnose schizophrenia. It is important to remember that having one or two of these symptoms does not necessarily mean you have schizophrenia. Diagnosis is a lengthy process and can only be undertaken by trained professionals over a certain period of time. However, if you think you are experiencing any of the feelings discussed in this section, then it is important to get to your doctor as soon as possible. The earlier schizophrenia is diagnosed and treated, the greater the chances of a full recovery. In this chapter we will go into a little more detail and explain what the symptoms of schizophrenia actually feel like.
